Photography from industrial estate filming

On the filming day for the music video talked about Here, we took many photos, some of which were shown in the aforementioned link. Now, I have collected all of the photos from the day for you to look at now.

These will be used as well as studio photography in the website and album cover ancillary tasks. Having images from the location that the video was shot at will create a constant mise-en-scene throughout all of the products in the promotional package. This is nessasary if a good house style is to be maintained.

Behind the scenes for the video is still in the making and will be uploaded when photography is finished.

Ancillary Task: Website Research

http://www.thescriptmusic.com/gb/home/

This is the website for The Script whose video we are recreating.

The colours for the website suit the vintage retro style currently related to this genre of music. It is important to use the iconography related with the genre.

There are large amounts of photography in a large banner at the top and folders on an image page. This is an important feature of all websites from most artists like the ones linked below:

Band Shots Finished

On Sunday (22/01/12) we went to location and filmed band shots as detailed in this post.
Here are some images and explanations about what happened and some reasons for our actions.

This was our main location on the industrial estate that we used. The reason for using this area of the park was that the fire escape and small structure near it (Next image) gave us some interesting opportunities for interesting shots.

This structure that I mentioned before allowed us to get higher for high angle shots and also....

... Gave us somewhere to position band members for some interesting compositions.

This experience taught us a lot about filming on a location with a large amount of equipment needed and this has taught us how difficult it is to use a lot of different resources and collect all of the shots we needed.

The main thing that was learned from today was that careful planning is needed to get everything to the location and also that while on location changes to the planned shots may change as new ideas that incorporate the location may present themselves.

Soon a full behind the scenes video will be posted which will feature some of the days events and show how some of the ideas for shots where conceived and created.
